Kevin Smith (cornerback)
Kevin Rey Smith (born April 7, 1970) is a former professional American football player who played cornerback in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons for the Dallas Cowboys. High school career Smith help lead West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District, West Orange-Stark High School to back to back 4A State Championships (1986–1987). He earned All-State on both sides of the ball his senior year, after Interception, intercepting 12 passes and catching 9 touchdowns. Smith was also a Letterman (sports), letterman in baseball, basketball and track and field. He was recruited to play wide receiver for University of Houston and Louisiana State University. Cornerback
A cornerback (CB) is a member of the defensive backfield or secondary in gridiron football. Cornerbacks cover receivers most of the time, but also blitz and defend against such offensive running plays as sweeps and reverses. In gridiron football, a punt is a kick performed by dropping the ball from the hands and then kicking the ball before it hits the ground. The Southwest Conference (SWC) was an NCAA Division I college athletic conference in the United States that existed from 1914 to 1996. Composed primarily of schools from Texas, at various times the conference included schools from Oklahoma and Arkansas. Texas A&M Aggies refers to the students, graduates, and sports teams of Texas A&M University. The nickname "Aggie" was once common at land-grant or "ag" (agriculture) schools in many states.
