Kevin Sandkuhler
Kevin M. Sandkuhler (born August 28, 1953, in Queens, New York) is an American lawyer, and retired brigadier general in the United States Marine Corps. His 2003 memo expressing concerns about the US interrogation of terrorism suspects, released in 2005 after a declassification request by Senator Lindsey Graham, received national and international attention. Biography After receiving his B.A. degree in history from the College of the Holy Cross, Worcester, Massachusetts, in 1975, Sandkuhler was commissioned a second lieutenant via the NROTC Program. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 11th Marines, First Marine Division at Camp Pendleton, California, where he served as a fire direction officer, platoon commander and adjutant. In July 1978, he was selected to attend law school under the Funded Law Education Program. Sandkuhler attended California Western School of Law, in San Diego, California, from 1978 to 1981. Queens, New York
Queens is a borough of New York City, coextensive with Queens County, in the U.S. state of New York. Located on Long Island, it is the largest New York City borough by area.
