Kevin Radich
Kevin "The Rat" Radich (born June 13, 1960) was the weekday afternoon sports reporter on KGO AM 810, in San Francisco. He joined KGO in early 2007, after a year of work as a weekend sports anchor for KCBS 740 AM radio. His wife, Kim Wonderley, works at KCBS as the morning traffic anchor. On June 21, 2015 Ben Fong-Torres' column Radio Waves in the San Francisco Chronicle reported that Radich had been fired by KGO. Radich was honored with an APTRA Mark Twain Award in January 2009. The competition covered California, Nevada, Hawaii, Arizona, New Mexico, Washington, Idaho, Colorado, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, and Alaska. Judging took place at The Associated Press Bureau in Downtown Los Angeles with a panel of leading broadcast journalists that considered hundreds of entries from the 2008 calendar year. KNBR (680 kHz) is a San Francisco, California AM radio station, broadcasting on a clear channel from transmitting facilities in Redwood City, California. KNBR's non-directional 50,000-watt class-A signal can be heard throughout much of the western United States and as far west as the Hawaiian Islands at night. KHTK (1140 AM) is a commercial radio station licensed to Sacramento, California. KHTK broadcasts a sports radio format as "Sactown Sports 1140" and is an affiliate of the CBS Sports Radio network. It is owned by Salt Lake City–based Bonneville International, a profit-making subsidiary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The studios and offices are on Commerce Circle in North Sacramento, just north of the American River. KHTK is powered at 50,000 watts, the maximum for commercial AM radio stations. Gary Kelley Radunich (born February 2, 1950), known as Gary Radnich, is a retired radio and television host in the San Francisco bay area. He hosted ''The Gary Radnich Show'' which ran weekday mornings on KNBR radio, and was the lead sports anchor on KRON television. Biography Early life Radnich was born and raised in San Jose, California to Bill and Evelyn Radunich. He was an All-American Basketball player at Del Mar High School and Branham High. His college career began at Brigham Young University on a basketball scholarship, and he transferred to UNLV after two years.
