Kevin McGiven
Kevin McGiven (born March 19, 1977) is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the offensive coordinator at San Jose State University. Playing career McGiven played wide receiver at Eastern Arizona College in 1995 for head coach Paul Tidwell. He then transferred to Louisiana Tech and played two seasons for head coach Gary Crowton, who is also from Orem, Utah. Coaching career Early coaching career Following his playing career, McGiven was a student assistant for Louisiana Tech for the 1998 season. McGiven took some time off before joining the coaching staff at his alma mater, Mountain View High School in Orem, Utah, in 2001, coaching the wide receivers and tight ends. Offensive Coordinator
An offensive coordinator is a member of the coaching staff of an American football or Canadian football team who is in charge of the team's offense. Generally, along with the defensive coordinator and the special teams coordinator, this coach represents the second level of coaching structure after the head coach. The offensive coordinator is in charge of the team's offensive game plan, and typically calls offensive plays during the game, although some offensive-minded head coaches also handle play-calling. Several position coaches work under the offensive coordinator (position groupings can include quarterbacks, wide receivers, offensive line, running backs, and tight ends). Unlike most position coaches in football, who are usually on the sidelines during games, offensive coordinators have the option of operating from the press box instead of being on the sideline. American Football
American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The San Jose State Spartans are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent San José State University. Brent Brennan
Brent Munger Brennan (born March 20, 1973) is an American football coach. He is the head football coach at San Jose State University. Early life and education Brennan was born and raised in Redwood City, California, and attended Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, graduating in 1991. Brennan later went to UCLA. He lettered in football in 1993 (jersey number 14) and 1994 (jersey number 86) as a wide receiver and graduated in 1996. Brennan also had stints as a graduate assistant at Washington under Rick Neuheisel in 1999 and Arizona in 2000 under Dick Tomey. DeNarius Devon McGhee (born June 12, 1991) is a former American football quarterback and current coach who is an offensive assistant for the Houston Texans of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Montana State University. Early years An online feature on McGhee stated he was born in Mississippi, and for the first nine years of his life, he lived with his grandmother and aunt. The Big Sky Conference (BSC) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I with football competing in the Football Championship Subdivision. Larry Porter (born April 28, 1972) is an American college football coach. He currently serves as special teams coordinator and running backs coach and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Porter is a former head coach of the Memphis Tigers football team. He was named to the position on November 29, 2009 replacing Tommy West. A former running back for the school when it was known as Memphis State University, Porter was formerly an assistant head coach, chief recruiter, and running backs coach at Louisiana State University under Les Miles. David Gary Crowton (born June 14, 1957) is an American football coach. He is the offensive coordinator at Pine View High School in St. George, Utah, a position he has held since 2018. Crowton served as the head football coach at Louisiana Tech University from 1996 to 1998 and at Brigham Young University (BYU) from 2001 to 2004, compiling a career college football coaching record of 47–36. Crowton has also served as offensive coordinator at the University of Maryland, at the University of Oregon, for the Chicago Bears of the National Football League (NFL), and at Louisiana State University (LSU).
