Kevin Dallas Martin Jr. (born February 1, 1983) is an American retired professional basketball player who played 12 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for Western Carolina University, where in his junior year, he averaged 24.9 points per game, which ranked second in the nation. After three years at Western Carolina, he entered the 2004 NBA draft and was selected with the 26th overall pick by the Sacramento Kings. Early life Martin was born in Zanesville, Ohio, to Kevin Sr. and Marilyn Martin. He grew up idolizing Michael Jordan. Kevin Martin (born August 2, 1975) is an American former basketball player. He was the Big South Conference Player of the Year in 1999 as a collegian at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and played professionally in Finland. Martin, a 6'5" forward from Westerville, Ohio, teamed with Shaun Stonerook to lead Westerville North High School to the 1994 Ohio Division I state championship. From there, Martin committed to walk-on at nearby Ohio State University. As a walk-on, Martin played a bigger role than expected, averaging 16.1 minutes and 7.6 points per game and even started four games for the Buckeyes in the 1994–95 season. In the offseason, Martin chose to transfer to a school where he could expect more playing time, ultimately settling on UNC Asheville. Kevin Martin (born 1973) is an Irish hurling manager and former player. His league and championship career with the Offaly senior team lasted ten seasons from 1993 until 2003. Born in Tullamore, County Offaly, Martin first played competitive hurling and Gaelic football at juvenile and underage levels with the Tullamore club. He later became a dual player at highest levels, winning two county football championship medals and one county hurling championship medal. Martin made his debut with the Offaly senior team during the 1993-94 league. Over the course of the following ten years he won All-Ireland medals in 1994 and 1998. Martin also won two Leinster medals and two All Star awards. He played his last game for Offaly in March 2003. Kevin Martin (born April 9, 1969) is an American singer who is best known as lead vocalist of the rock band Candlebox. He also provides lead vocals for the bands The Gracious Few and The Hiwatts. Career Martin was born in Elgin, Illinois. His father worked for a salt company and the family moved to San Antonio, Texas when he was 10. They subsequently moved to Mercer Island, Washington near Seattle when Martin was 15. He and drummer Scott Mercado set out to start a band in 1990. Candlebox was formed in 1991 after guitarist Peter Klett and bassist Bardi Martin joined them. They gained a ''Billboard'' 200 top 10 hit in 1993 with their self-titled debut album, released by Maverick Records. Martin moved from Weymouth to London around 1990 and is now currently based in mainland Europe. He has been active for over two decades in the genres of dub, jazzcore, industrial hip hop, dancehall, and dubstep.
