Kevin Elvis Klein is a Conservative politician in Manitoba, Canada and former City of Winnipeg councilo. He was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba in the 2022 Kirkfield Park provincial by-election, for the electoral division of Kirkfield Park. Klein is a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Manitoba, Progressive Conservative Party. Previously, he served as a Winnipeg City Councillor, serving as the Councillor for Charleswood-Tuxedo-Westwood from 2018 to 2022. Klein also ran in the 2022 Winnipeg municipal election, 2022 Winnipeg mayoral election, placing third. He has acted as chair of the Winnipeg Police Service, Winnipeg Police Service Board and as a member of the City of Winnipeg Standing Policy Committee on Property and Development. The Winnipeg Police Service is the police force of the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. History When Winnipeg became a city, in 1873, an election was held to select the city's new mayor and aldermen. Those appointed decided to hire city officials, including a chief constable. On February 23, 1874, John S. Ingram was appointed the first Chief of Police of Winnipeg. During the 1919 Winnipeg General Strike, most of the force was replaced with 2000 better-paid special constables, for refusing to sign a declaration promising to not belong to a union or participate in a sympathy strike, even though they remained on duty during the strike. Rana Bokhari (born October 23, 1977) was the leader of the Manitoba Liberal Party from 2013 until 2016 in Manitoba, Canada. Background Bokhari was born on a farm near Anola, Manitoba. As a student she attended the University of Manitoba where she obtained degrees in criminology and psychology.
