Kevin Keathley
Kevin Keathley is a basketball coach and author who is the Director of Player Personnel/Assistant Coach for the Shreveport Mavericks for the 2021 season. Coaching career Lees College Keathley began his career as an assistant coach at Lees College in his home state of Kentucky. He served as the Lees College top assistant and later interim head coach. Saint Catharine College Following his stint at Lees, Keathley joined the coaching staff at Saint Catharine College, where the Patriots averaged 95.6 points per game in 2002. Louisville Eagles (UPBL) After two years at Saint Catharine, Keathley was named Associate Coach for the Louisville Eagles of the UPBL. In 2003, the Louisville Eagles won the UPBL championship. Kentucky Colonels
The Kentucky Colonels were a member of the American Basketball Association for all of the league's nine years. The name is derived from the historic Kentucky colonels. The Colonels won the most games and had the highest winning percentage of any franchise in the league's history, but the team did not join the NBA in the 1976 ABA–NBA merger. The downtown Louisville Convention Center (now known as The Gardens) was the Colonels' original venue for the first three seasons before moving to Freedom Hall for the remaining seasons, beginning with the 1970–71 schedule. The 2013–14 NBL Canada season was the third season of the National Basketball League of Canada. The regular season began on November 1, 2013. The regular season ended on Friday, February 28, 2014, and the playoffs began on Sunday, March 2, 2014 and ended on Thursday, April 17, 2014 with the Windsor Express defeating the Island Storm in seven games to win the 2014 NBLC Finals. Offseason Following the conclusion of the 2012-13 NBL Canada season, the Oshawa Power relocated to Mississauga, Ontario, and were renamed the Mississauga Power. The 2013–14 NBL Canada season also featured expansion to two new locations: Ottawa, and Brampton. Kentucky Colonels (ABA 2000)
Kentucky Colonels (ABA 2000) were a member of the American Basketball Association (2000–present), ABA 2000, the second version of the American Basketball Association. The first American Basketball Association played from 1967 through the 1975–76 season and included a team called the Kentucky Colonels. Both versions of the Colonels played in Louisville, Kentucky. Since the departure of the original Colonels in 1976, Louisville had hosted a handful of professional basketball teams including the Louisville Catbirds of the Continental Basketball Association in the 1980s and the Louisville Shooters of the United States Basketball League. Rio-Grande Valley Silverados
The Shreveport Mavericks are a professional basketball team based in Shreveport, Louisiana that plays in The Basketball League (TBL). History Rio Grande Valley/Southeast Texas (2006-2011) Originally known as the Rio Grande Valley Silverados, the team was originally a member of the former Continental Basketball Association. Owned by McAllen businessmen Art Gonzalez and Kevin Mitchell, the Silverados were based out of McAllen, Texas and played their home games at the McAllen Convention Center. In the team's initial ABA season of 2008–09, the team played in Beaumont. The Southeast Texas Mustangs proved to be a force to be reckoned with winning 27 of their first 28 games, many by margins of 50 points or more.
