Kevin Howard
Kevin C. Howard (born June 25, 1981) is an American former professional baseball infielder. He was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 5th round of the 2002 Major League Baseball draft. Howard served as the assistant hitting coach for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB) in 2021. Amateur career Howard attended Westlake High School. In 1999, his senior campaign, Howard was named the ''Los Angeles Times'' Ventura County Player of the Year. Howard also played football at Westlake. Howard committed to attend the University of Miami. Howard was drafted in the 22nd round of the 1999 Major League Baseball draft by the San Diego Padres, but did not sign and attended college. While at the University of Miami in 2000, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. The Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League (IL) and the Triple-A affiliate of the Miami Marlins. They are located in Jacksonville, Florida, and are named for shrimp caught in the area. The team plays their home games at 121 Financial Ballpark, which opened in 2003. Tony Womack
Anthony Darrell Womack (born September 25, 1969) is an American former professional baseball player. He played all or parts of 13 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB), with most of his career spent with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Arizona Diamondbacks, then with several other teams during his last four years. A middle infielder, Womack was recognized for his speed and base-stealing prowess and his key hits in the 2001 playoffs which led to the 2001 World Series win over the New York Yankees. The Dayton Dragons are a Minor League Baseball team of the Midwest League and the High-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds.
