Kevin Hanson
Kevin Hanson is a Canadian basketball coach, who has been serving as head men's basketball coach at the University of British Columbia since 2000. Career Player Hanson played at Seaquam Secondary School in North Delta, British Columbia before joining the Falcons of Langara College. He earned Langara outstanding male athlete and CCAA All-Canadian honours in 1984. After two years at Langara, he transferred to the University of British Columbia in 1984. He reached the CIAU Championship Game with UBC in 1987, falling short to Brandon, while Hanson earned Tournament All-Star Team that year. Coach Hanson began his coaching career with assistant coaching stints at Vancouver Community College (1987–88), Simon Fraser University (1988-89) and the University of British Columbia (1990–91). Universiade
The Universiade is an international multi-sport event, organized for university athletes by the International University Sports Federation (FISU). The name is a portmanteau of the words "University" and "Olympiad". The Universiade is referred to in English as the World University Games or World Student Games; however, this latter term can also refer to competitions for sub-University grades students. In July 2020 as part of a new branding system by the FISU, it was stated that the Universiade will be officially branded as the FISU World University Games. The Commonwealth Games, often referred to as the Friendly Games or simply the Comm Games, are a quadrennial international multi-sport event among athletes from the Commonwealth of Nations. The University of Saskatchewan began in 1907 and has operated teams that compete with others since 1911. The term Huskie Athletics is defined as those student athletes from the University of Saskatchewan that compete in elite interuniversity competition administered by U Sports and its members, both as regions and as individual institutions.
