Kevin Desfossés
Kevin Desfossés (born May 2, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender. He was born in Beauport, Quebec (now Quebec City). Career Desfossés played junior hockey in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League for the Flin Flon Bombers and the Humboldt Broncos, playing one game for each team, and in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League for the Quebec Remparts. With the Remparts, he won the Memorial Cup in 2006 and was named into the QMJHL's First All-Star team in 2008. After a brief spell in McGill University, Desfossés signed his first professional contract with the Port Huron Icehawks of the International Hockey League during the 2008–09 season. He then split the 2009–10 season in the Central Hockey League for the Corpus Christi Icerays and the Laredo Bucks. 2007–08 QMJHL Season
The 2007–08 QMJHL season was the 39th season in the history of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. At the season-opening press conference, the QMJHL announced in partnership with Telus that all 630 regular season games would be available by Internet broadcast. The regular season started on September 13, 2007, and concluded on March 16, 2008. Eighteen teams played seventy games each. The Rouyn-Noranda Huskies finished first overall in the regular season winning their first Jean Rougeau Trophy. They would go on to win 12-straight playoff games before losing in five games in the finals to the Gatineau Olympiques, who captured their seventh President's Cup, and third in the last six seasons. Italian Hockey League - Serie A, formerly known as Serie A, is the top tier of professional ice hockey in Italy, which first began play in 1925. They are conducted under the authority of the Federazione Italiana Sport del Ghiaccio (FISG). The league initially merged with the Inter-National League to become the Alps Hockey League in 2016. Italian teams in the Alps Hockey League also compete in the Italian Hockey League - Serie A. The Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH, ''"North American Hockey League"'') is a low-level professional ice hockey league based in the Canadian province of Quebec. Teams in the LNAH compete for the Vertdure Cup. The Thetford Assurancia is a hockey team based in Thetford Mines, Quebec. The team is part of the Ligue Nord-Américaine de Hockey (LNAH). The team plays at the Centre Mario Gosselin. History Previously this LNAH franchise was known as the Thetford Mines Coyotes (1996–2000), and as the Thetford Mines Prolab (2000–07).
