Kevin Curtis (safety)
Kevin Curtis (born July 28, 1980) is an American football coach and former Safety (American football position), safety. He is currently the cornerbacks coach for the Baylor Bears, Baylor University football team. Early years Curtis was born in Frankfurt, Germany, but was raised in Lubbock, Texas, where he attended Coronado High School (Lubbock), Coronado High School. At Coronado, he played quarterback. Playing career College Curtis played Safety (American and Canadian football position), safety for the Texas Tech Red Raiders from 1998-2002. He was named second-team All-American for his junior and senior seasons, and was a three time All-Big 12 Conference, Big 12 selection. During the 1999 season, he was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week following a Red Raider victory against 1999 Colorado Buffaloes football team, Colorado and was named to the Jim Thorpe Award watchlist prior to the 2000 season. Baylor Bears Football
The Baylor Bears football team represents Baylor University in Division I FBS college football. They are a member of the Big 12 Conference. After 64 seasons at the off-campus Baylor Stadium, renamed Floyd Casey Stadium in 1989, the Bears opened the new on-campus McLane Stadium for the 2014 season. Louisiana Tech University (Louisiana Tech, La. Tech, or simply Tech) is a public research university in Ruston, Louisiana. It is part of the University of Louisiana System and classified among "R2: Doctoral Universities – High research activity". 2002 NFL Draft
The 2002 NFL draft was the 67th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft is known officially as the "NFL Annual Player Selection Meeting" and has been conducted annually since 1936. Coronado High School (Lubbock)
Coronado High School is the second newest high school in the Lubbock Independent School District. Coronado, named for the Spanish conquistador and explorer Francisco Vásquez de Coronado, opened its doors in 1965 as the fourth high school in Lubbock, joining the list of Lubbock High, Monterey High and Dunbar High. Estacado was built two years after Coronado opened, in 1967. The mascot of the school is the Mustang and the school colors are Scarlet and Old Gold. The Baylor Bears are the athletic teams that represent Baylor University.
