Kevin Jeffery Brauch (born January 18, 1968Kevin Brauch states his birthday in the episode of The Thirsty Traveler, Taiwan in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian television presenter. Early life and career Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Brauch worked as a bartender for seven years early in his career while working his way through the Radio and Television Arts program at Ryerson Polytechnical Institute (now Toronto Metropolitan University). Brauch worked for CFNY-FM in Toronto from 1988 to 1990. He began his television career on the TVOKids programming block of Ontario provincial public broadcaster TVO in 1994 alongside Patty Sullivan. Superstar Chef Challenge
''The Superstar Chef Challenge'' is a reality/competition special produced for the Food Network Canada. Filmed at the Compass Group Canada Culinary Arts Demonstration Theatre and Kitchen Laboratory in Humber College's North Campus, it served as a pilot for a potential series. Description Hosted by Kevin Brauch (''The Thirsty Traveler''), the chefs were selected from a participants who sent in a five-minute tape of themselves cooking their signature dish. The winner for the first season was Dana McIntyre and as part of the prize she got a co-starring role in the Food Network Canada show ''Just One Bite''. The Gemini Awards were awards given by the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television between 1986–2011 to recognize the achievements of Canada's television industry. The Gemini Awards are analogous to the Emmy Awards given in the United States and the BAFTA Television Awards in the United Kingdom. Iron Chef America
''Iron Chef America'' is an American cooking show based on Fuji Television's ''Iron Chef'', and is the second American adaptation of the series, following the failed ''Iron Chef USA'' that aired in 2001. The show is produced by Food Network, which also carried a dubbed version of the original ''Iron Chef''. Like the original Japanese program, the program is a culinary game show.
