Kevin Boehnlein
Kevin M. Boehnlein is an American politician who served as a member of the Indiana Senate from the 46th district. He assumed office on November 16, 2021, and ended his term on November 22, 2022. Early life and education Boehnlein is a native of Jeffersonville, Indiana. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Indiana University Southeast and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Southern Indiana. Career Since 2004, Boehnlein has worked as a financial advisor at Edward Jones Investments. He also served as the chief of staff for Regina Overton during her tenure as mayor of New Albany, Indiana. Ronald T. Grooms (born May 15, 1944) is an American politician and pharmacist who served as a member of the Indiana Senate for the 46th district from 2011 to 2021. Early life, education and career Grooms graduated from Lizton High School in 1962 and received a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from Butler University in 1967. Career Grooms works as a pharmacist for Super X Drugs and Clark Memorial Hospital before owning his own pharmacy from 1969 to 2006. Grooms served on the Jeffersonville City Council from 1984 to 1992, and again from 2000 until 2011. In 2006, Grooms worked as a fundraising coordinator for Congressman Mike Sodrel. He was also an advisor to State Representative Richard B. Wathen. New Albany is a city in Floyd County, Indiana, United States, situated along the Ohio River, opposite Louisville, Kentucky. The population was 37,841 as of the 2020 census. Indiana's 9th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Indiana. Located in south-central and southeastern Indiana, the district stretches from the south suburbs of Indianapolis to the Indiana side of the Louisville metropolitan area. Michael E. Sodrel (born December 17, 1945) is an American politician and businessman who served as a member of the United States House of Representatives for Indiana's 9th congressional district from 2005 to 2007. Sodrel launched another run against incumbent Democratic Rep. Baron Hill in 2010 – his fifth straight run for Congress in the ninth district. However, he lost the Republican nomination to Bloomington attorney Todd Young, who won the general election. In 2022, after a twelve-year political retirement, Sodrel announced he was running for his old seat in the 2022 United States House of Representatives elections in Indiana.
