Kerstin Thiele (born August 26, 1986, in Riesa, East Germany) is a German judoka and a silver medallist at the Olympic Games 2012 in London. Kerstin Thiele is a German champion in judo in the Middleweight (-70 kg) division. She competes for the German club ''JC Leipzig'', and was part of the German national team. At the 2012 Olympics she reached the women's middleweight judo final vs. Lucie Décosse, who won the gold medal. Edith Bosch
Edith Bosch (born 31 May 1980) is a Dutch judoka. Her Olympic debut was at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney where she finished seventh. She won the silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the middleweight division. She was also European champion that year. Bosch became world champion in the same 70 kg category at the 2005 World Judo Championships in Cairo, Egypt. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, she defeated Ronda Rousey in a quarter final match and won a bronze medal. In the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, she once again won the bronze medal. Bosch has a HEAO ( nl, Hoger economisch en administratief onderwijs) diploma in commercial economy from Randstad Topsport Academy, she is also a master in Sport Management from Johan Cruyff Institute, and currently works as a team manager for the Nederlandse Spoorwegen. Lucie Décosse
Lucie Décosse (born 6 August 1981 in Chaumont) is a retired female French judoka. Career Décosse competed in the half-middleweight (57–63 kg) category until 2008. Thereafter, she switched to the middleweight (63–70 kg) category. She was ranked number one in the world in both categories. Décosse won a total of 13 medals (8 of them gold) at the Olympic Games, the World Judo Championships and the European Judo Championships. She won the most important medal of her career – the middleweight (63–70 kg) gold medal – at the 2012 Olympic Games. Décosse retired from judo after losing her bronze medal match against South Korea's Kim Seong-Yeon at the 2013 World Judo Championships in Rio de Janeiro. Riesa
Riesa is a town in the district of Meißen in Saxony, Germany. It is located on the river Elbe, approximately northwest of Dresden. History The name ''Riesa'' is derived from Slavic ''Riezowe''. This name, romanised as "Rezoa", appears first in October 1119 in a document from Pope Callixtus II. The world's first 110 kV power line was installed between Riesa and Lauchhammer in 1912.
