Kerry Burt
Kerry Burt is a Iowa Democratic Party, Democratic politician, representing the 21st District in the Iowa House of Representatives. He won the election in November 2008 and was sworn in on January 12, 2009. He did not seek re-election in 2010 and was succeeded by Anesa Kajtazovic. Burt played for the Maryland Commandos of the Arena Football League in . Burt graduated from Waterloo West High School. Burt was arrested in February 2009 in Ankeny, Iowa after driving drunk and causing an auto accident. He pleaded guilty to the charge. He took office in January 2009 and, in April 2010, announced that he would not seek re-election for the November 2010 elections because he was legally charged with tampering with school records. Tami Wiencek (born 1969) is a former member of the Iowa legislature, representing the 21st District in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2007 to 2009. Wiencek served on several committees in the Iowa House - the Economic Growth, Education, and Ways and Means committees. She also served on the Administration and Regulation Appropriations Subcommittee. Wiencek was Iowa House of Representatives elections, 2006, elected in 2006, defeating Iowa Democratic Party, Democratic incumbent Don Shoultz, despite the fact that 2006 was a very favorable election year for Iowa Democrats. Cedar Falls is a city in Black Hawk County, Iowa, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city population was 40,713. It is home to the University of Northern Iowa, a public university. History Cedar Falls was first settled in March 1845 by brothers-in-law William Sturgis and Erasmus D. Adams. Initially, the city was named Sturgis Falls. The city was called Sturgis Falls until it was merged with Cedar City (another city on the other side of the Cedar River), creating Cedar Falls. Waterloo West High School
Waterloo West High School is one of three public high schools under the auspices of the Waterloo Community School District in Waterloo, Iowa. The school is located at the intersection of E. Ridgeway Ave. and Baltimore Ave. Mascot The school mascot is Westy the Wahawk. The name "Wahawk" is a portmanteau of the city name ( Waterloo) and the county name ( Black Hawk). Much controversy has surrounded the mascot, which was once an Indian chief thought to be politically incorrect. It was later changed to a flying eagle flying through a flaming hoop but was changed back after 3 years. The logo is currently the "Flying W," a capital "W" with a feather hanging off of it.
