Kerrang! Awards 2007
The Kerrang! Awards 2007 were held in London, England, on 23 August 2007 at The Brewery in Romford and were hosted by Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian. ''Kerrang!'' announced the 2007 nominees on 8 August at the Kerrang! Day of Rock at Virgin Megastores in London. The main categories were dominated by My Chemical Romance and Enter Shikari with four nominations, followed by Fall Out Boy with three. Kerrang!
''Kerrang!'' is a British weekly magazine devoted to rock, punk and heavy metal music, currently published by Wasted Talent (the same company that owns electronic music publication ''Mixmag''). It was first published on 6 June 1981 as a one-off supplement in the ''Sounds'' newspaper. Named after the onomatopoeic word that derives from the sound made when playing a power chord on a distorted electric guitar, ''Kerrang!'' was initially devoted to the new wave of British heavy metal and the rise of hard rock acts. In the early 2000s, it became the best-selling British music weekly. History ''Kerrang!'' was founded in 1981. Kids In Glass Houses
Kids in Glass Houses are a Welsh rock band from Cardiff. The band's name was inspired by the lyrics "not throwing stones at you anymore" from the Glassjaw song "Tip Your Bartender". The band achieved success on the strength of the singles " Give Me What I Want" and "Saturday" off their debut album ''Smart Casual'' in 2008. The band released their second album ''Dirt'' in early 2010, releasing four singles, most notably " Matters at All". The band's third album, '' In Gold Blood'', was released on 15 August 2011. The Kill
"The Kill" (written "The Kill (Bury Me)" on the single and music video) is a song by American band Thirty Seconds to Mars. The song was released on January 24, 2006 as the second single from their second album, ''A Beautiful Lie''. It was certified double platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and peaked at number 65 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100. Overview Jared Leto described the meaning of the song as, "It's really about a relationship with yourself. It's about confronting your fear and confronting the truth about who you are." He has also said it is about "confrontation as a crossroads" — coming face-to-face with who you really are. In September 2007, "The Kill" was re-released again in the UK. Lostprophets
Lostprophets (stylised as lostprophets) were a Welsh rock band from Pontypridd, formed in 1997 by singer and lyricist Ian Watkins and guitarist Lee Gaze. The band was founded after their former band Fleshbind broke up. They later recruited Mike Lewis (guitars) and Mike Chiplin on drums. Lostprophets released five studio albums: ''The Fake Sound of Progress'' (2000), ''Start Something'' (2004), ''Liberation Transmission'' (2006), '' The Betrayed'' (2010), and ''Weapons'' (2012). Aiden was an American horror punk band from Seattle, Washington that formed in the spring of 2003. The Sleeping
The Sleeping was an American post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York, United States, formed in 2003. The band was founded by Cameron Keym, Sal Mignano, and Joe Zizzo from the remains of Skycamefalling. After auditioning twenty-two potential singers, they came across Doug Robinson, former singer/guitarist of the band Stillwelle. Madina Lake is an American alternative rock band formed in Chicago, Illinois, United States, in 2005.
