Kermit Channel
The Kermit Channel was an Asian television channel that was owned by the The Jim Henson Company, Jim Henson Company and Crown Media Holdings, Hallmark Entertainment until 2001, when Hallmark assumed full ownership and renamed the channel. It was a 24-hour cable channel that broadcast reruns of various The Muppets, Muppet productions. History Hallmark Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company started a partnership in May 1998 to launch the Kermit Channel in Asia and Latin America expect to start in September 1998 with distribution handled by Hallmark Entertainment Network. This partnership had grown out of their co-production of ''Gulliver's Travels (miniseries), Gulliver’s Travels''. In 1998, Kermit had extended a license for the Muppet to Wave, a Singapore-based licensing agent, for apparel, toys and games categories in Taiwan and the Philippines. ''Brats of the Lost Nebula'' is a science fiction television series for kids. It combines puppetry and computer animation. The series follows five orphaned children from different war-torn planets. As they search for their surviving family members, they must also band together to fight an evil invading force known as "The Shock". The series was created by Dan Clark, who was also an executive producer along with Brian Henson and Margaret Loesch. The puppet characters mixed both traditional hand puppetry and animatronics. ''Construction Site'' is a live action children's television series created by The Jim Henson Company in 1999, featuring a group of seven anthropomorphic construction vehicles. It was originally produced for and shown on CITV starting on September 10, 1999. In 2003, it was nominated for a Children's BAFTA for the Best Pre-School Live Action. Two 13-episode seasons were produced. Episodes are packaged as 52 x 10’ or 13 x 26’. ''Mopatop's Shop'' is a children's television series that which premiered on CITV in the UK on 4 January 1999. 260 ten-minute episodes were made and aired daily. It was a co-production between Jim Henson Television and Carlton Television. After it finished its run in 2005 it was repeated for several years afterwards until 2010. ''Muppets Tonight'' is an American live-action/ puppet family-oriented television series created by Jim Henson Productions and featuring The Muppets. Much like the "MuppeTelevision" segment of ''The Jim Henson Hour'' (1989), the show was a continuation of ''The Muppet Show'', set in a television studio rather than a theater. Unlike the original ''Muppet Show'', most episodes of ''Muppets Tonight'' featured multiple guest stars.
