Kep1er (; ) is a South Korean girl group formed through the Mnet reality survival competition show ''Girls Planet 999'' in 2021 and managed by Swing Entertainment and Wake One Entertainment. The group is composed of nine members: Kim Chae-hyun, Huening Bahiyyih, Choi Yu-jin, Kim Da-yeon, Seo Young-eun, Kang Ye-seo, Hikaru Ezaki, Mashiro Sakamoto, and Shen Xiaoting. They made their official debut on January 3, 2022, with the extended play (EP) ''First Impact''. Name "Kep1er" was a name suggested by viewers of ''Girls Planet 999'' through the website Naver. The name is a reference to the planets in the Kepler star systems named after the 16th century astronomer Johannes Kepler. The name is also kept in relation to ''Girls Planet 999'' by continuing the show's cosmic theme. ''Troubleshooter'' is the third extended play by South Korean girl group Kep1er. It was released by Wake One Entertainment on October 13, 2022, and contains five tracks, including the lead single "We Fresh". Background and release On September 26, Wake One Entertainment announced Kep1er would be releasing their third extended play titled ''Troubleshooter'' on October 13. A day later, the promotional schedule was released. On September 28, the track listing was released with "We Fresh" announced as the lead single. The 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards ceremony, also known as 2021 MAMA, organized by CJ E&M and broadcast through its music channel Mnet, took place live on December 11, 2021. The ceremony was held at CJ ENM Contents World in Paju, South Korea. The theme for the ceremony was titled as "Make Some Noise". The ceremony was the 23rd in the show's history. ''Produce 48'' () was the third season of the South Korean reality competition series ''Produce 101''. It was a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a girl group by voting for members out of a pool of 96 contestants from South Korea and Japan, as well as voting for the group's concept, name and debut single. The show was a collaboration between the Mnet series ''Produce 101'' and the J-pop idol group AKB48. The winning 12 contestants, with no nationality caps, as voted only by Korean viewers, would promote as a group for two years and six months.
