Kenyan Cricket Team In Sri Lanka In 2001–02
The Kenyan cricket team toured Sri Lanka from January and February 2002 to play three first-class and three List A matches against Sri Lanka A. Kenya additionally played a two-day tour match against the BCCSL Academy XI which resulted in a draw. The first-class series, dubbed unofficial Test matches, was won by Sri Lanka A 3–nil. The List A series was won by Kenya 2–1. Squads Dulip Liyanage was added to the Sri Lankan A squad on 5 February to cover the injured Dinusha Fernando. The following day Pulasthi Gunaratne was also added to squad. For the List A series, Ian Daniel, Michael Vandort, Prabath Nissanka and Ruchira Perera were replaced by Sajeewa Weerakoon and Anushka Polonowita in the Sri Lankan squad. Upul Chandana
Deshabandu Umagiliya Durage Upul Chandana (born 7 May 1972), popularly known as Upul Chandana, is a former Sri Lankan cricketer who played both Tests and ODIs. He was more specifically a leg spin bowler and was also an outstanding fielder. Unfortunately, Chandana was an unused squad player in 1996 world cup. Chandana is considered to be one of the best leg spinners ever played for Sri Lanka. He was also a competent lower-order batsman, having scored a total of seven half-centuries at international level. Avishka Gunawardene
Dihan Avishka Gunawardene (born 26 May 1977), is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, who played Tests and ODne Day Internationals. He served as the Sri Lanka A team coach for many years, and was later appointed batting coach of the national team in 2017. At present, he is the Head Coach of the Sri Lanka Under-19 cricket team. International career He is an explosive left-handed opening batsman who first came into the public eye during the 1998 Commonwealth Games, when he scored a half century and achieved the highest score in the South African defeat. His only ODI century was 132 against West Indies at Nairobi during the ICC KnockOut Trophy in 2000. Joseph Oduol Angara (born 8 November 1971) is a former Kenyan cricketer who played One Day Internationals for Kenyan national team between 1997 and 2003, including at the 1999 and 2003 World Cups. Kaushalya Weeraratne also known as Kaushal Weeraratne (born 29 January 1981) is a former Sri Lankan international cricketer. After starting his international career as a bowler, he later moved up the order to become an all-rounder, batting in the middle order and bowling medium-fast. Lindamlilage Prageeth Chamara Silva ( si, චාමර සිල්වා) (born 14 December 1979) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, who played all formats of the game for 12 years. Jayawardane Ratnayake Arachchige Prabath Nissanka (born October 25, 1980), or Prabath Nissanka, is a former Sri Lankan cricketer, who played in Test matches and One Day Internationals for the Sri Lanka national cricket team. Dulip Kapila Liyanage (born 6 June 1972) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm medium-fast bowler. He studied at the Kalutara Vidyalaya. International career Liyanage made his Test debut in the same Test as Muttiah Muralitharan in 1992–93, and when bowling, captured the wicket of Tom Moody with his third ball.
