Kenyam
Kenyam is a town and district in Nduga Regency, Highland Papua, Indonesia. It is the capital of the regency. Its population as at mid 2022 was 6,394. History On 31 December 2015, President Joko Widodo, accompanied by First Lady Iriana, visited Kenyam, Nduga Regency, Papua Province, to review the construction of the road that will connect Nduga and Wamena. The trip of Widodo and First Lady Iriana and his entourage from Wamena to Kenyam, Nduga Regency was taken for 2 hours by changing transportation modes from Hercules VVIP A 1314 and Heli Super Puma TNI AU. On that occasion President Jokowi also stated that, in addition to building a road leading to Wamena, a large port at Mumugu (in Asmat Regency of South Papua Province) will also be opened and connected to the Nduga Regency. Nduga Regency
Nduga Regency is one of the regencies (''kabupaten'') in the Indonesian province of Highland Papua. Nduga Regency was separated from Jayawijaya Regency on 4 January 2008 in accordance with Law No. 6/2008. It covers an area of 12,941 km2, and had a population of 79,053 at the 2010 Census and 106,533 at the 2020 Census. The administrative centre is at Kenyam. Papua is a province of Indonesia, comprising the northern coast of Western New Guinea together with island groups in Cenderawasih Bay to the west. A regency ( id, kabupaten), sometimes incorrectly referred to as a district, is an administrative division of Indonesia, directly under a province and on the same level with city (''kota''). Iriana Joko Widodo
Iriana (also called Iriana Jokowi, born 1 October 1963) is the First Lady of Indonesia since 20 October 2014 and the wife of the current President of Indonesia, Joko Widodo. Wamena
Wamena is a town and the capital of the Indonesian province of Highland Papua. It also serves as the seat of Jayawijaya Regency. It is the largest town in Indonesian Papua's highlands, in the Baliem Valley and had a population of 64,967 at the 2020 Census. Wamena is the urban centre of a rural area housing highland Papua's highest concentration of population, with over 300,000 people inhabiting the Baliem Valley and surrounding areas. Asmat Regency
Asmat Regency is a regency (''kabupaten'') in the northern portion of the Indonesian province of South Papua. It was split off from Merauke Regency (of which it had been a part) on 12 November 2002. Asmat Regency consists of an area of 31,983.44 km2, and had a population of 76,577 at the 2010 Census, 88,373 at the 2015 Intermediate Census, and 110,105 at the 2020 Census, mostly from the Asmat ethnic group.
