Kentucky Route 1303 is a state highway in Kenton County, Kentucky. The southern terminus of the route is at KY 536 in Independence. The northern terminus is at U.S. Route 25, U.S. Route 42 and U.S. Route 127 in Lakeside Park. On its way to KY 536 it goes through many towns. These towns include Edgewood, Erlanger, and Independence. The southernmost segment of the route is named Bristow Road, a moniker carried by KY 536 east of KY 1303. At Richardson Road in Independence, KY 1303 becomes Turkeyfoot Road, a name the route retains to its northern terminus. Independence is a home rule-class city in Kenton County, Kentucky, in the United States. It is one of its county's two seats of government. The population was 24,757 at the time of the 2010 U.S. census, up from 14,982 at the 2000 census. It is the third largest city in Northern Kentucky after Covington and Florence. Lakeside Park is a home rule-class city in Kenton County, Kentucky, United States. As of the 2020 census, the city had a total population of 2,841. It is a suburb in the Cincinnati metropolitan area. History The area that is now Lakeside Park was part of a farm granted to John Leathers. During the Civil War, the Covington and Lexington Turnpike which passes through town was guarded by forts. Lakeside Park was incorporated in 1930. The first subdivisions were championed by Kenton County commissioner Paul Hesser, who also pushed for incorporation. Kenton County is a county located in the northern part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 169,064, making it the third most populous county in Kentucky (behind Jefferson County and Fayette County). Its county seats are Covington and Independence. It was, until November 24, 2010, the only county in Kentucky to have two legally recognized county seats. The county was formed in 1840 and is named for Simon Kenton, a frontiersman notable in the early history of the state. Kentucky Route 536 (KY 536) is a state highway that connects Rabbit Hash to Alexandria via Florence and Independence in Northern Kentucky, United States. The western terminus of the route is at Kentucky Route 338 in Rabbit Hash. The eastern terminus is at U.S. Route 27 in Alexandria. Route description KY 536 begins at an intersection with KY 338 (East Bend Road) less than a mile east of the Ohio River in Rabbit Hash. As Rabbit Hash Road, KY 536 winds through rural western Boone County before becoming more residential in nature and becoming Hathaway Road as it approaches southern Florence.
