Kentridge High School
Kentridge High School is a (senior) high school that is located on in Kent, Washington. It is the second-oldest and second-largest high school by area (while the largest by population) in the Kent School District. It primarily serves students in the northeastern region of the district. Academics Kentridge offers Advanced Placement courses in English Language and Composition, English Literature and Composition, Computer Science, Art, Art History, Calculus (AB and BC), Statistics, Human Geography, US History, US Government and Politics, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics (B), Music Theory, and Psychology. Nicole Joraanstad ( ; born November 10, 1980 in Seattle, Washington) is an American curler from Verona, Wisconsin. She currently plays second for Erika Brown. Career At the 2000 World Junior Curling Championships, Joraanstad played third for Laura Delaney and won a bronze medal for Team USA. The following year, Joraanstad skipped her own team to a seventh-place finish. Joraanstad would later join up with Patti Lank as her second, and Team USA finished in fourth place at the 2004 Ford World Curling Championships. Marcus Hahnemann
Marcus Stephen Hahnemann (born June 15, 1972) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a goalkeeper. Graduating out of Seattle Pacific University, he played for the Seattle Sounders between 1994 and 1996. Between 1997 and 1999 he turned out for the Colorado Rapids, signing with English club Fulham in 1999. Unable to become the first-choice goalkeeper at Fulham, he enjoyed loan spells with Rochdale and Reading, before signing permanently with Reading in 2002. In 2009, following 276 league appearances for the club, he transferred to Wolverhampton Wanderers. He has won nine caps for the United States, featuring as back-up for Kasey Keller and Tim Howard in two World Cups. Jason Ellis (born December 15, 1982) is a retired American professional basketball player. He played five seasons with Idaho Stampede of the NBA D-League, two seasons for GasTerra Flames and two seasons with Boncourt. He played college basketball for Boise State University. Professional career After going undrafted in the 2005 NBA draft, Ellis joined the Denver Nuggets for the 2005 NBA Summer League. Ely Allen (born June 12, 1986 in Anchorage, Alaska) is an American soccer player. Career Youth Allen grew up in Kent, Washington, attended Kentridge High School. Running Start
Running Start is a dual credit enrollment program in Washington, Hawaii, New Hampshire, Montana and Illinois which allows high school juniors and seniors to attend college courses numbered 100 or above, while completing high school. It is similar to other dual enrollment programs common at public and private colleges and universities in other states like Concurrent Enrollment or Dual Enrollment. Running Start credits are held in equally high regard as Advanced Placement or International Baccalaureate. History Washington State implemented their Running Start program in 1993.
