Kenny Wright (footballer)
Kenneth Wright (born 1 August 1985) is a Scottish soccer, footballer who plays as a Striker (association football), striker for Thorniewood United F.C., Thorniewood United in the Scottish Junior Football Association, West Region. He has previously played in the Scottish Premier League for Motherwell F.C., Motherwell. Career Wright started his career at local professional club Motherwell F.C., Motherwell in 2002. At the time, the Scottish Premier League, SPL club were giving a lot of young players an opportunity due to administration (British football), administration, forcing a number of cuts. This meant Wright would be one of the fortunate youth players given their chance. However, due to injury, Wright was never able to show the goal-scoring ability that he undoubtedly had, and he was released by the Fir Park club at the end of the 2005-06 season. Bellshill
Bellshill (pronounced "Bells hill") is a town in North Lanarkshire in Scotland, southeast of Glasgow city centre and west of Edinburgh. Other nearby localities are Motherwell to the south, Hamilton, South Lanarkshire, Hamilton to the southwest, Viewpark to the west, Holytown to the east and Coatbridge to the north. The town of Bellshill itself (including the villages of Orbiston and Mossend) has a population of about 20,650. Fir Park
Fir Park Stadium is a football stadium situated in Motherwell, North Lanarkshire, Scotland. The stadium plays host to the home matches of Scottish Premiership club Motherwell and was the temporary home of Gretna for the 2007–08 SPL season. Motherwell moved to the stadium in 1895, previously playing their football at Dalziel Park. History and facilities Motherwell F.C. was formed in 1886. It played at sites on Roman Road and Dalziel Park until 1895, when Fir Park was opened. The ground was laid out in a wooded area belonging to Lord Hamilton of Dalzell, whose racing colours were claret and amber. Motherwell then adopted these colours themselves.
