Kenny Earl
Kenny Earl Edwards (born December 24, 1964), who goes by the moniker Rhino, is an American musician, known for being the drummer for Manowar, which he joined in 1990. He has since gone on to be the drummer for Angels of Babylon and A.K.A. He is also currently the drummer in guitarist Jack Starr's band. He has also toured as the drummer with fellow former Manowar member Ross "the Boss" Friedman's solo band, most notably in 2017. Heavy Metal Music
Heavy metal (or simply metal) is a genre of rock music that developed in the late 1960s and early 1970s, largely in the United Kingdom and United States. With roots in blues rock, psychedelic rock and acid rock, heavy metal bands developed a thick, monumental sound characterized by distortion (music), distorted guitars, extended guitar solos, emphatic Beat (music), beats and loudness. In 1968, three of the genre's most famous pioneers – Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple – were founded. Though they came to attract wide audiences, they were often derided by critics. Manowar
Manowar is an American heavy metal band from Auburn, New York. Formed in 1980, the group is known for lyrics based on fantasy (particularly sword and sorcery) and mythology (particularly Norse mythology and Greco-Roman mythology), as well as numerous songs celebrating the genre and its core audience. The band is also known for a loud and emphatic sound. In an interview for MTV in February 2007, bassist Joey DeMaio lamented that "these days, there's a real lack of big, epic metal that is drenched with crushing guitars and choirs and orchestras... so it's nice to be one of the few bands that's actually doing that". In 1984, the band was included in the Guinness Book of World Records for delivering the loudest performance, a record which they have since broken on two occasions. They also hold the world record for the longest heavy metal concert after playing for five hours and 1 minute in Bulgaria (at Kavarna Rock Fest) in 2008. Jack Starr's Burning Starr
Jack Starr's Burning Starr is an American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band from New York City, formed in 1984. The band was founded and guided by former Virgin Steele guitarist Jack Starr and enjoyed limited success in the US during the explosion of glam metal, hair metal in the second half of the 1980s. Burning Starr released four studio albums before disbanding, with Starr going to work in other short-living formations. The band was resurrected by Starr in 2008 and signed with Magic Circle Music, playing in the Magic Circle Festival of 2008 and 2009. The band played at the 2013 Keep It True festival and recorded a DVD. ''The Triumph of Steel'' is the seventh studio album by the American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Manowar, released in 1992. It is the only Manowar album to feature guitarist David Shankle and drummer Kenny Earl, Kenny Earl "Rhino" Edwards. The cover art was illustrated by Ken Kelly (artist), Ken Kelly. Album content "Achilles, Agony and Ecstasy in Eight Parts" is the longest (28 minutes and 38 seconds) and most complex Manowar song, and probably an anticipation of a concept album that was never accomplished. Because of its Homeric content, "Achilles, Agony and Ecstasy in Eight Parts" has attracted the attention of a group of scholars at Bologna University in Italy.
