Kenny Bailey
Kenny Bailey (born February 3, 1974) is a former arena football defensive back. He played college football for Delaware before playing for the England Monarchs of NFL Europe in 1998. Bailey signed with the New Jersey Red Dogs in 2000. He was placed on injured reserve by the New Jersey Red Dogs on April 11, 2000, and activated from the list on May 31, 2000. He was re-signed by the newly-renamed New Jersey Gladiators on March 8, 2001. He was waived by the Gladiators on July 4, 2001. Bailey signed with the Tennessee Valley Vipers for the 2002 af2 season, and led the team in tackles for the season with 88. After missing the first three games of the 2003 season with a broken foot, the Vipers activated him from injured reserve on May 1, 2003. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). The National Basketball Association (NBA) does not have a direct analog to an injured reserve list, instead using a more general-purpose "inactive list" that does not require a player to be injured. Injured reserve lists are used because the rules of these leagues allow for only a certain numbers of players on each team's roster. The 2002 AF2 season was the third season of the AF2. It was preceded by 2001 and succeeded by 2003. The league champions were the Peoria Pirates, who defeated the Florida Firecats in ArenaCup III. The Cleveland Gladiators were an arena football team based in Cleveland, Ohio, United States, and members of the Arena Football League (AFL). The Gladiators played their home games at Quicken Loans Arena, which they shared with the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association and the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League. The franchise was originally based in East Rutherford, New Jersey, and then later in Las Vegas, Nevada, before relocating to Cleveland for the 2008 AFL season.
