Kenneth Faried
Kenneth Bernard Faried Lewis (born November 19, 1989) is an American professional basketball player for the Capitanes de Ciudad de México of the NBA G League. Known as "The Manimal" due to his hustle on the court, he attended Morehead State University for four years, twice being named the Ohio Valley Conference Player of the Year. He finished his collegiate career as the NCAA all-time leading rebounder in the post-1973 era with 1,673 rebounds. He was selected 22nd overall in the 2011 NBA draft by the Denver Nuggets. Faried played for the United States national team at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup, where he won a gold medal and was named to the All-Tournament Team. NBA All-Rookie First Team
The NBA All-Rookie Team is an annual National Basketball Association (NBA) honor given since the 1962–63 NBA season to the top rookies during the regular season. Voting is conducted by the NBA head coaches who are not allowed to vote for players on their own team. The United States men's national basketball team won the gold medal at the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup held in Spain. Prior to 2014, the event was known as the FIBA World Championship.
