Kenneth Chawngliana
Kenneth Chawngliana is a Zoram People's Movement politician from Mizoram. He was the fourth Speaker of Mizoram Legislative Assembly. He had been elected in Mizoram Legislative Assembly elected 1979 to 1984 from Saitual as candidate of Mizo People's Conference. Career He was the founder Principal of Hrangbana College from 21 July 1980 to 31 March 1982 and Government Kolasib College from 1 July 1978 to 10 January 1981. He was speaker of Mizoram Legislative Assembly from 25 May 1979 to 8 May 1984. He left the Mizoram People's Conference party in 2016 and joined the Zoram Nationalist Party. He is at present the Vice president of Zoram People's Movement. He has also served as a member of the Mizoram public Service commission. Mizoram Legislative Assembly
The Mizoram Legislative Assembly is the unicameral state legislature of Mizoram in India. The seat of the Legislative Assembly is at Aizawl, the capital of the state. Mizoram People's Conference
The Mizoram People's Conference was a regional political party in Mizoram, India. It was formed by Brig Thenphunga Sailo on 17 April 1975. Ṭhenphunga was the party chairman and Chief Minister of Mizoram from 1979 to 1984, and an army officer and then a human rights activist before starting his political party. Following the MPC's defeat in 1984, it was the main opposition party for the next two decades. In the 1998 assembly elections, it won 12 seats. However, in the 2003 elections, the party won only three seats, a number which fell to two in the 2008 elections and one in 2013. It ultimately won four seats in the 2018 election and their MLA quit to join ZPM. Zoram People's Movement
The Zoram People's Movement (abbreviated ZPM) is an alliance of seven party to form non Indian National Congress non Mizo National Front government formed by Mizoram People's Conference . It is an alliance movement, the members are Mizoram People's Conference Zoram Nationalist Party, Zoram Exodus Movement, Zoram Decentralisation Front, Zoram Reformation Front and Mizoram People's Party. Later all these parties merged into a single entity. In 2018 Mizoram Legislative Assembly election, it has emerged as movement group and support some independent candidate with same symbol, flag and policy and won 8 seats. Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), formerly the University of Poona, is a collegiate public state university located in the city of Pune, India. Mizoram
Mizoram () is a state in Northeast India, with Aizawl as its seat of government and capital city. The name of the state is derived from "Mizo people, Mizo", the endonym, self-described name of the native inhabitants, and "Ram", which in the Mizo language means "land." Thus "Mizo-ram" means "land of the Mizos". Hrangbana College
Hrangbana College is located at Chanmari, Aizawl, Mizoram. Hrangbana College admits the most students in Mizoram: 850. History The college is named after Hrangbana, a late philanthropist and prominent businessman who generously donated a sum of Rs. one lakh to start the college. It was given government recognition as a private college on 6 November 1980 and was upgraded to Deficit Grant-in-aid Status with effect from 1 September 1985. Government Kolasib College is an undergraduate college of Mizoram state in India located at Kolasib. It is a coeducation institute governed by the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Education & Human Resources Department, Government of Mizoram. Zoram Nationalist Party is recognized as the state political party in Mizoram, India. The party known as formerly Mizo National Front (Nationalist). It is led by former MP Lalduhoma. MNF(N) was formed in 1997 through a split in the Mizo National Front. The party won 2 seats in the state assembly in both the 2003 and 2008 state elections.
