Kennebecasis Valley
The Kennebecasis Valley, also known as simply Kennebecasis ( ), its abbreviated term KV, as well as "The Valley," is a valley region in the Canadian province of New Brunswick. It encompasses the suburban towns of Quispamsis and Rothesay, both situated along the lower Kennebecasis River. The Kennebecasis Valley also encompassed the former villages that were amalgamated by Quispamsis and Rothesay. The Kennebecasis Valley has its own regional police force and fire department, the Kennebecasis Valley Fire Department, which has two stations, one in each town. Both of these departments overlook both Quispamsis and Rothesay. History Although there is no recollection of how the Kennebecasis Valley began, there is the existence of the Kennebecasis Valley Women's Institute which stretches as far back as 1917. Hampton High School is a public secondary school located in Hampton, New Brunswick, Canada. A part of the Anglophone South School District, the school serves students from grades 9- 12. The school is also home to the Hampton Huskies. History Early development In August 1992, Hampton High School’s official school colours were chosen as black, silver and white, much to the dismay of the alumni of the former Hampton Consolidated School, whose school colours were green and white. Opening of the School Hampton High School opened its doors on September 8, 1992, to around 640 students. Hampton (2016 population: 4,289) is a town in Kings County, New Brunswick, Canada. Located on the Kennebecasis River 30 kilometres northeast of Saint John, Hampton is the shire town of Kings County. It functioned as the seat of county government between 1870 and 1965 (when county governments were abolished) and is today a service centre for the central Kennebecasis River valley, as well as being a suburb of Saint John.
