Kenji Tomita
Kenji Tomita (富田健治 November 1, 1897 – March 23, 1977) was a Japanese politician. He was born in Kobe. He graduated from Kyoto University. He was governor of Nagano Prefecture (1938–1940), served as Cabinet Secretary under Fumimaro Konoe, and was elected to the House of Representatives in 1952. He was a recipient of the Order of the Sacred Treasure. Tomita was a keen martial artist, studying judo and aikido. He used his influence to protect aikido's founder Morihei Ueshiba from arrest during the Second Oomoto Incident in 1935 and was the first chairman of the Aikikai The Aikikai is the original school of Aikido. Seiichi Ōmura
was a politician and bureaucrat in the early Shōwa period Japan, who subsequently was a politician and cabinet minister in the immediate post-war era. Biography Ōmura was born in Tsuyama, Okayama. After his graduation from the Law School of Kyoto Imperial University, he entered the Home Ministry. He served as Governor of Nagano Prefecture from 15 January 1935 to 13 March 1936, and again for a second term from 11 January 1938 to 23 December 1938. He was then appointed Governor of Kanagawa Prefecture from 23 December 1938 to 4 September 1939. Later in 1939, he was Vice Minister for Education under Prime Minister Abe Nobuyuki. In 1943, he was made chairman of the Japan Student Services Organization. After the end of World War II, during the American occupation of Japan, Ōmura served as Home Minister in the first Yoshida administration from 22 May 1946 to 24 May 1947. ''Chōseiden'' in Ayabe , also known as , is a religion founded in 1892 by Deguchi Nao (1836–1918), often categorised as a new Japanese religion originated from Shinto. The spiritual leaders of the movement have always been women within the Deguchi family; however, Deguchi Onisaburō (1871–1948) has been considered an important figure in Omoto as a ''seishi'' (spiritual teacher). Since 2001, the movement has been guided by its fifth leader, Kurenai Deguchi. History Deguchi Nao, a housewife from the tiny town of Ayabe, Kyoto Prefecture, declared that she had a "spirit dream" at the Japanese New Year in 1892, becoming possessed (''kamigakari'') by Ushitora no Konjin and starting to transmit his words.
