Kenichi Matsuyama
is a Japanese actor. He is known for his affinity for strange character roles, and he is best known internationally for playing L in the 2006 films ''Death Note'', '' Death Note 2: The Last Name'' and '' L: Change the World'' in 2008, as well as voicing Gelus in the ''Death Note'' animated adaptation. He was cast to play lead character Toru Watanabe in the film adaptation of Haruki Murakami's novel '' Norwegian Wood'', which was released in December 2010. The is a film festival established in 1985. The event was held biennially from 1985 to 1991 and annually thereafter. Along with the Shanghai International Film Festival, it is one of Asia's competitive film festivals, and is considered to be the largest film festival in Asia and the only Japanese festival accredited by the FIAPF. The awards handed out during the festival have changed throughout its existence, but the Tokyo Grand Prix, handed to the best film, has stayed as the top award. Other awards that have been given regularly include the Special Jury Award and awards for best actor, best actress and best director. In recent years, the festival's main events have been held over one week in late October, at the Roppongi Hills development. Events include open-air screenings, voice-over screenings, and appearances by actors, as well as seminars and symposiums related to the film market. ''Kamachi'' () is a Japanese film produced in 2003 by Rokurō Mochizuki. The film centers around the life of poet and painter Kamachi Yamada at the age of 17. The film stars Lead member Shinya Tanuichi as the titular character. The film was originally distributed at the ''109 Cinemas Takasaki'' in Takasaki, Gunma, Kamachi Yamada's place of birth, on February 28, 2004. It was released nationwide two weeks later on March 13, 2004. Plot The film opens in 1975 with the character Kamachi Yamada ( Shinya Tanuichi), who strives to be the best he can be. His motto throughout his life was "24 hours a day is not enough."
