Kenichi Hagiwara
was a Japanese singer and actor. Music career Also known as Sho-Ken, he was the lead singer of The Tempters, which was a blues-rock band connected to the Group Sounds scene, and gained big hits in the late 1960s. Hagiwara was known for his good looks and wild vocals, which appealed to young male and female fans. After The Tempters, he formed the band PYG along with Kenji Sawada, the first true Japanese supergroup, a unit which included members of The Tigers, The Tempters, and The Spiders. He was in the Donjuan R&R Band with Hideki Ishima, formerly of The Flowers Travelln' Band. Akechi Mitsuhide
, first called Jūbei from his clan and later from his title, was a Japanese ''samurai'' general of the Sengoku period best known as the assassin of Oda Nobunaga. Mitsuhide was a bodyguard of Ashikaga Yoshiaki and later a successful general under ''daimyō'' Nobunaga during his war of political unification in Japan. Mitsuhide rebelled against Nobunaga for unknown reasons in the Honnō-ji Incident in 1582, forcing the unprotected Nobunaga to commit ''seppuku'' in Kyoto. Mitsuhide attempted to establish himself as ''shōgun'', but was pursued by Nobunaga's successor Toyotomi Hideyoshi and defeated at the Battle of Yamazaki. ''Fighting Girl'' is a Japanese television drama starring Kyoko Fukada. Synopsis Sayoko is a tough 19-year-old with ambition, energy and nowhere to direct it. Her father clearly favors her blind 16-year-old sister. Junior college is unstimulating. She is fired from her part-time job in a dress shop because she is too diligent at catching shoplifters and slaps them around a bit when she does. The Triple Cross
(a.k.a. ''The Day's Too Bright'') is a 1992 Japanese film directed by Kinji Fukasaku. Plot Kanzaki, Shiba, and Imura are a trio of robbers who commit a series of bank robberies, making off with hundreds of millions of yen. They lay low for a year until Imura falls into serious debt and begs to be a part of another robbery. Shiba introduces them to Kadomachi, the young owner of a rock club. Following Kadomachi's plan, they rob an armored car expected to be transporting 200 million yen from a hotel at Lake Tōya to a bank in Sapporo. When they discover that the armored car was only carrying 50 million yen, Imura attempts to rob the others at gunpoint but is overcome with guilt and drops the gun. Kadomachi grabs the gun and shoots at the others, killing Imura before stealing the money and blowing up the safe house with dynamite.
