Kendall Williams (baseball)
Kendall Allen Williams (born August 24, 2000) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. Career Toronto Blue Jays Williams attended IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, and was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the second round of the 2019 Major League Baseball Draft. He turned down a scholarship offer by Vanderbilt University to sign with the Blue Jays. He began his professional career with the Gulf Coast Blue Jays, where he made five starts (six appearances) and allowed two earned runs in 16 innings. He did not play a minor league game in 2020 since the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Los Angeles Dodgers Williams was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers on September 1, 2020 (along with another player to be named later) in exchange for Ross Stripling. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. The Tulsa Drillers are a minor league baseball team based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The team, which plays in the Texas League, is the Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers major-league club. The Arizona Fall League (AFL) is an off-season sports league owned and operated by Major League Baseball (MLB) which operates during the autumn in Arizona, United States, at six different baseball complexes. Arizona Fall League rosters are filled by many of the top prospects in Minor League Baseball (MiLB) who are assigned by their parent clubs. Structure The six teams of the AFL are organized in two three-team divisions. Each AFL team is affiliated with five teams in Major League Baseball (MLB), and each MLB team provides seven players from their Minor League Baseball affiliates, yielding 35-man rosters.
