Ken Robinson (Northern Ireland Politician)
Ken Robinson (born 1942) was a former Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) politician who was a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for East Antrim from 1998 to 2011. Education He was educated at Ballyclare High School, Queen's University, Belfast and Stranmillis College. Before entering politics, he was Head of Cavehill Primary School. Political career Robinson was a former Newtownabbey Borough Councillor (1985β1993 and 1995β1997). He has served as both Mayor (1991β1992) and Deputy-Mayor, and was Vice Chair of the Economic Development Committee (1995β1998). East Antrim (Assembly Constituency)
East Antrim (, Ulster Scots: ''East Anthrim'') is a constituency in the Northern Ireland Assembly. The seat was first used for a Northern Ireland-only election for the Northern Ireland Forum in 1996. Since 1998, it has elected members to the current Assembly. For Assembly elections prior to 1996, the constituency was largely part of the North Antrim and South Antrim constituencies. From 1997 to 2010 it shared boundaries with the East Antrim UK Parliament constituency; this link was broken by the 2010 Westminster General Election but was restored at the 2011 Assembly elections. Fraser Agnew
William Alexander Fraser Agnew, known as Fraser Agnew, is a politician in Northern Ireland who was a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Belfast North from 1998 to 2003. After growing up in Ballyclare, Agnew studied at the University of Ulster, Jordanstown, Belfast Technical College and the College of Business Studies. He worked as a writer and architectural draughtsperson and was elected to Newtownabbey Borough Council as an Ulster Unionist Party (UUP) representative in 1980. Agnew was also elected to the Northern Ireland Assembly, 1982. In 1990, Agnew served as the Mayor of Newtownabbey. In the early 1990s, he left the UUP and was later re-elected as an independent Unionist. In 1996, standing for the 'Independent Templeton' ticket, he was an unsuccessful candidate in the Northern Ireland Forum election in South Antrim.
