Ken Reed (West Virginia Politician)
Kenneth "Ken" R. Reed (born April 10, 1968) is an American politician, businessman, and pharmacist who served as a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates from the 59th district. He served from 2020 to 2022. Early life and education Born in Weirton, West Virginia, Reed graduated from Brooke High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from West Virginia University. Career From 1992 to 1998, Reed worked as a pharmacy manager for Rite Aid. He has been the CEO of Reed's Pharmacy since 1998. He was also the president of the West Virginia Pharmacists Association. In 2014, Reed was a candidate for West Virginia's 2nd congressional district, placing second in the Republican primary after eventual winner Alex Mooney. West Virginia's 2nd Congressional District
West Virginia's 2nd congressional district currently stretches from the Ohio River border with Ohio to the Potomac River border with Maryland and the border with Virginia. It includes the capital city of Charleston and the rapidly growing residential communities of West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle and Potomac Highlands regions connected by a narrow strip of nearly unpopulated counties. It is wide and long. As a result of the state losing a seat as a result of the 2020 United States census the state legislature redrew the map, totally changing the district's boundaries for the 2022 congressional election and the following 10 years. Alexander Xavier Mooney (born June 7, 1971) is an American politician serving since 2015 as the U.S. representative from . A member of the Republican Party, he represented the 3rd district in the Maryland State Senate from 1999 to 2011 and is a former chair of the Maryland Republican Party. He is the first Hispanic person elected to Congress from West Virginia. In November 2022, Mooney filed to run for U.S. Senate in 2024, for the West Virginia seat occupied by Democrat Joe Manchin. Brooke High School
Brooke High School is a public high school in Wellsburg, West Virginia, United States. It is the only high school in the Brooke County School District. Athletic teams compete as the Brooke Bruins in the WVSSAC Class AAA as well as the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference.
