Ken McGregor (footballer)
Ken McGregor (born 29 January 1981) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for Adelaide in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was drafted at pick 75 in the 1998 AFL Draft. After retiring from professional football he spent some time as a political journalist for the ''Adelaide Advertiser'' before moving to Canberra. He also played football for Ainslie in the North East Australian Football League (NEAFL). He was the coach of the Port Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) in 2013 and coached fellow SANFL club North Adelaide in 2014 and until his contract was terminated after round 9 of the 2015 season. Career Early career (1999–2001) Debuting as an 18-year-old for the Adelaide Crows, McGregor played a few solid games in his first season. Woodville-West Torrens Football Club
Woodville-West Torrens Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). It was formed in 1990 from an amalgamation of the neighbouring Woodville and West Torrens football clubs and played its inaugural game in 1991. Since 1993, the Eagles have played most of their home games at Woodville's home ground of Woodville Oval, having previously used Football Park. They also play two or three games per season at their pre-season base of Thebarton Oval, a ground which has six light towers that the club has upgraded in 2012 to allow night games at the ground for the first time since the 1983 Escort Cup Grand Final (a game won by West Torrens). 50-metre Penalty
In the sport of Australian Rules Football, Australian rules football, the 50-metre penalty is applied by umpires to a number of different infractions when a Free kick (Australian rules football), free kick or Mark (Australian football), mark has already been paid. The laws of the game also allow leagues to use a 25-metre penalty in place of a 50-metre penalty. Examples of leagues which do this include the South Australian National Football League (SANFL), Victorian Amateur Football Association (VAFA), Australian Football International Cup and the Australian Amateur Football Council. Travis Gaspar
Travis Gaspar (born 28 March 1981) is a former Australian rules footballer in the Australian Football League. He was recruited as the number 14 draft pick in the 1999 AFL draft from South Fremantle. Gaspar made his debut for the West Coast Eagles in Round 8, 2001 against Hawthorn. During the 2005 preliminary final against Adelaide, Gaspar elbowed Ken McGregor just before the bounce-down. This resulted in a 50-metre penalty and Adelaide kicking the first goal. He was charged with striking, but found not guilty due to it being deemed an act of self-defence. Gaspar was cleared to play for the Eagles in the 2005 Grand Final against the Swans. After playing in the Grand Final, Gaspar never played AFL again after his contract was not renewed at the end of the 2006 season. The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League. The club plays its home games at Perth Stadium and has its headquarters at Lathlain Park. Gary James Ayres (born 28 September 1960) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He is currently the senior coach for the Montrose Football Club in the Eastern Football Netball League (EFNL). Neil Craig
Neil Passmore Craig (born 11 January 1956) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the Norwood Football Club, Sturt Football Club and the North Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He later worked as a fitness adviser, and then became coach of the Adelaide Football Club, a caretaker coach of the Melbourne Football Club, the former General of Performance at the Essendon Football Club, as well as the Director of Coaching at the Carlton Football Club.
