Ken Lucas (politician)
Kenneth Ray Lucas (born August 22, 1933) is an Politics of the United States, American politician. Lucas, a Democratic Party (United States), Democrat, was a United States House of Representatives, U.S. Representative from Kentucky's 4th congressional district from 1999 until 2005. Lucas did not run for reelection in 2004, honoring a promise to serve only three terms. However, he made a bid for his old congressional seat in 2006 against Geoff Davis, the Republican Party (United States), Republican who won the seat in 2004. Lucas narrowly defeated Davis in 2002, even as popular Republican United States Senate, Senator Mitch McConnell breezed to a fourth term in a big midterm cycle for Republicans. Kenton County, Kentucky
Kenton County is a county located in the northern part of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. As of the 2020 census, the population was 169,064, making it the third most populous county in Kentucky (behind Jefferson County and Fayette County). Its county seats are Covington and Independence. It was, until November 24, 2010, the only county in Kentucky to have two legally recognized county seats. The county was formed in 1840 and is named for Simon Kenton, a frontiersman notable in the early history of the state. Kenton County, with Boone and Campbell Counties, is part of the Northern Kentucky metro area, and is included in the Cincinnati-Middletown, OH-KY-IN Metropolitan Statistical Area. Nicholas Joseph Clooney (born January 13, 1934) is an American journalist, anchorman, and television host. He is the brother of singer Rosemary Clooney and the father of actor George Clooney. Florence is a home rule-class city in Boone County, Kentucky, United States. Florence is the second largest city located in Northern Kentucky, after Covington, and part of the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area. History The Florence area was originally known as Crossroads, because of the convergence of several roads from Burlington and Union at Ridge Road (now U.S. 25).
