Ken Leemans
Ken Leemans (born 5 January 1983, in Vilvoorde) is a former Belgian footballer. Career Leemans is a midfielder who was born in Vilvoorde and made his debut in professional football, being part of the KV Mechelen squad in the 2000–01 season. He also played for Roda JC before joining VVV Venlo for the second time in his career. On 24 April 2009, Leemans scored the decisive 1–0 goal in the match against HFC Haarlem HFC Haarlem was a Dutch football club from the city of Haarlem, established in 1889 and dissolved in 2010. The club won the Eredivisie in 1946 and reached five Cup finals, winning in 1902 and 1912. Vilvoorde (, french: Vilvorde ; historically known as ''Filford'' in English) is a Belgian municipality in the Flemish province of Flemish Brabant. The municipality comprises the city of Vilvoorde proper with its two outlying quarters of Koningslo and Houtem and the small town of Peutie. The nickname for inhabitants of Vilvoorde is Pjeirefretters (horse eaters) because horse meat (specially steak) is a beloved food in Vilvoorde. The official language of Vilvoorde is Dutch.
