Ken Fraser
Ken Fraser (born 17 February 1940) is a former Australian rules footballer in the (then) Victorian Football League (VFL). Originally recruited from the Essendon Baptists St John's club (which has since merged with Ascot Vale Presbyterians to become the Tullamarine Football Club) in the Essendon District Football League, Fraser mainly played at centre half-forward. He won the Essendon Football Club's Best First-Year Player award in 1958 and went on to play in two premiership teams, with the second premiership as captain. He also won two club best-and-fairest awards and represented Victoria on many occasions. In 2001, Fraser was inducted into the Australian Football Hall of Fame. In 2002, he was ranked 7th in the Champions of Essendon list. Fraser was also Principal of Templestowe Secondary College in Lower Templestowe, Victoria, Australia, for many years. Victoria Australian Rules Football Team
The Victoria Australian rules football team, known colloquially as the Big V, is the state representative side of Victoria, Australia, in the sport of Australian rules football. The Big V has a proud history, dominating the first 100 years of intercolonial-interstate football, and being the most successful state in State of Origin. After the change to State of Origin rules, the results with the other main Australian football states became more even. Victoria has a long and intense rivalry with South Australia and Western Australia. The Victorian and South Australian rivalry was characterised by the catchcry in South Australia called "Kick a Vic", and fans would bring signs of the cry to the games. Mark Fraser (footballer, Born 1971)
Mark Fraser (born 4 February 1971) is a former Australian rules footballer and Australian rules football umpire, umpire in the Australian Football League. Playing career Fraser, from Montmorency, Victoria, is the son of former Essendon Football Club champion Ken Fraser, Ken, who played 198 games over 11 seasons with them. Mark debuted with Collingwood Football Club, Collingwood in 1992 and played 14 games in his first season. After 45 games with Collingwood, Fraser quit the club and was recruited by his father's former club, Essendon. He was played on the wing position but was only a depth player in his first 3 seasons at the club, and it wasn't until 1998 that he became a regular senior team member. In 1999 he continued his good form, which included a 27-disposal haul against Melbourne in Round 22. 2000 was Fraser's final year, and not being able to break into the premiership winning side saw him forced into retirement after 65 games with the Bombers, for a career total of 1 ...
