Kemel Thompson (born September 25, 1974) is a former Jamaican athlete who competes in the 400 metres hurdles. His personal best time is 48.05 seconds, achieved in London in 2003. Myrzageldy Kemel ( kk, Мырзагелді Кемел; russian: link=no, Мырзагельды Кемел; 15 January 1949 – 18 July 2020) was a Kazakhstani writer, politician and academic. He was a member of the Supreme Kenges from 1994 to 1995 and a member of the Mazhilis from 1995 to 2004. He published 10 books about spirituality. His best known book was called ''Mind Pocket'' ( kk, Ақыл қалта) Biography Kemel was born in the Maktaaral District of the Chimkent Oblast, now known as the Turkistan Region of the Kazakh S.S.R. In 1971, he graduated from Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization Engineers with a specialty in rural electrification. Philippe Kemel (born 28 June 1948) is a French politician who is the mayor of Carvin and a former member of the National Assembly of France. He is a member of the Socialist Party. Early life Kemel was born in Emmerin, Nord. Kemel completed his secondary education at Gondecourt High School and studied economics, sociology and accounting in Lille. An economist and sociologist by training, he teaches logistic economics at the University of Lille and also does accounting for companies. Political career Kemel joined the Socialist Party in 1974 at the time of the first candidacy of François Mitterrand. He had been a member of the Unified Socialist Party.
