Kelvin Dela Peña
Kelvin Charles Chicote dela Peña (born January 19, 1984) is a Filipino-Canadian professional basketball athlete who played shooting guard for the Alaska Aces of the PBA, the San Miguel Beermen of the ASEAN Basketball League and Calgary Crush of the ABA. Early life Dela Peña is the youngest son of Susan Chicote-dela Peña and of former Mapuan / San Miguel PBA athlete Ricardo dela Peña. He is brother to Richard dela Peña, who also has an accomplished background in basketball. Dela Peña was raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, where he began his basketball career and suited up for Mount Royal University Cougars. He was named in the All-Canadian team at age 17 and decided to pursue a career as a professional basketball athlete in the Philippines at age 20. The point guard (PG), also called the one or the point, is one of the five Basketball positions, positions in a regulation basketball game. A point guard has perhaps the most specialized role of any position. NCAA Philippines Basketball Championship
The NCAA basketball championships are the basketball championships of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (Philippines) (NCAA). There are two tournaments, usually held at the same time, the seniors' tournament for male collegiate students, and the juniors' tournament for male senior high school students. If a school wins both championships in one season, it said that they have won the "double championship." The tournament commences with a double-round robin of eliminations, where the four teams with the best records advance to the semifinals, with the two top seeds clinching the twice-to-beat advantage. The winners in the semifinals meet in a best-of-3 finals series, in order to determine the champion. Gabby Espinas
Gabriel Espinas (born January 3, 1982) is a Filipino professional basketball player for the Batang Kankaloo – Caloocan of the Pilipinas Super League. A 6'4" forward, he was drafted fifth overall by the Beermen in the 2006 PBA draft. He made a name in the amateur ranks as the first-ever Rookie of the Year-Most Valuable Player of the NCAA while playing for the PCU Dolphins. Amateur career Espinas began to play for PCU in the NCAA in the 2004 season. With Espinas, Robert Sanz, Jayson Castro, and Ian Garrido playing together with head coach Loreto Tolentino, the Dolphins made it to the Final Four for the first time since 2002. The American Basketball Association (ABA) is an American semi-professional men's basketball minor league that was founded in 1999. The ABA has teams based in the United States and previously had international teams based in Canada and Mexico.
