Kelso, New South Wales
Kelso is a suburb of Bathurst, New South Wales, Australia, in the Bathurst Regional Council area. History Kelso was the original European settlement in the area. In 1816, the initial settlement of Bathurst was established on the eastern banks of the Macquarie River, in current-day Kelso. The first ten farmers in Kelso were each given ; five were newborn colonials and five were immigrants. Denison College of Secondary Education is a dual-campus government-funded co-educational comprehensive secondary day school, located in Bathurst, in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. Founded in 2007 through the amalgamation of Bathurst High School and Kelso High School, the college enrolled approximately 1,830 students in 2018, from Year 7 to Year 12, of whom 13 percent identified as Indigenous Australians and six percent were from a language background other than English. The Kelso High Campus (abbreviated as KHC) of Denison College of Secondary Education is a government-funded co-educational comprehensive secondary day school campus, located in Kelso, in the Central West region of New South Wales, Australia. Established in 1976 as Kelso High School, the school amalgamated with Bathurst High School in 2007 to form Denison College of Secondary Education. Holy Trinity Anglican Church is a heritage-listed Anglican church precinct, containing the church, rectory and adjacent cemetery, at 71-85 Gilmour Street, Kelso, Bathurst Region, New South Wales, Australia. The church was built from 1833 to 1878, with John Foster being responsible for the building of the original church. Edmund Blacket designed the rectory.
