Fleetwood
Fleetwood is a coastal town in the Borough of Wyre in Lancashire, England, at the northwest corner of the Fylde. It had a population of 25,939 at the United Kingdom Census 2011, 2011 census. Fleetwood acquired its modern character in the 1830s, when the principal landowner Peter Hesketh-Fleetwood, High Sheriff and MP, conceived an ambitious plan to re-develop the town to make it a busy seaport and railway spur. He commissioned the Victorian architect Decimus Burton to design a number of substantial civic buildings, including two lighthouses. Hesketh-Fleetwood's transport terminus schemes failed to materialise. The town expanded greatly in the first half of the 20th century with the growth of the fishing industry, and passenger ferries to the Isle of Man, to become a Commercial trawler, deep-sea fishing port. ''Real Story'' is a current affairs programme which aired on the British television channel BBC One at 19:30 GMT weekly on Mondays. It was hosted by Fiona Bruce who was also presenter of ''Crimewatch''. The programme was edited by Dave Stanford and produced by Mike Lewis. It focused on the weeks big stories such as health problems and political views. Fiona Bruce often met some of the victims of the main problem being discussed for use on the programme. Floral Pavilion Theatre
The Floral Pavilion is a theatre in the seaside town of New Brighton, Merseyside, New Brighton, on the Wirral Peninsula in England. Situated on the promenade overlooking the River Mersey, it presents a mix of comedy, music and children's shows including a Christmas pantomime. The original theatre opened in 1913 as an open-air summer theatre within the Victoria Gardens. In 1925 it was covered by an iron and glass roof and during the mid-1960s it was largely rebuilt, with a full metal roof. The theatre closed in 2007 and was demolished as part of the town's £60 million Neptune Project redevelopment plans. The building was rebuilt to a new design and reopened in December 2008.
