Kelowna Double Cash
The Kelowna Double Cash is an annual tournament on the men's and women's World Curling Tour. It is held annually in November at the Kelowna Curling Club in Kelowna, British Columbia. The men's event is sponsored by Raymond James Financial and the women's event by the Sunset Ranch Golf & Country Club. The purse for the event is Canadian dollar, $15,200. The event has been held since 2018. The 2020 event was the first BC event of the 2020–21 curling season, as other events had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in British Columbia. World Curling Tour
The World Curling Tour (WCT) is a group of curling bonspiels featuring the best male, female, and mixed doubles curlers in the world. History The World Curling Tour was founded by former World Champion Ed Lukowich, with later assistance from John Kawaja. The World Curling Tour commenced in 1992, with men's events only at first. It replaced the "Canadian Curling Tour" held the previous season. The first season consisted of 48 events (with only one outside Canada), and was sponsored by Seagram's distillery. Teams earned points in every event with the top 30 qualifying for the season ending " V.O. Cup", today known as the Players' Championship. Its first president and CEO was Lukowich. The first two events were held on the first weekend of October 1992, the Red Carpet Classic in Regina, Saskatchewan and a qualifier for the Coca-Cola Classic in Winnipeg. Erin Pincott
Erin Pincott (born April 17, 1995 in Richmond, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from Kamloops. She is the longtime third for Corryn Brown, having played together since they were six years old. Career Junior career Playing for Corryn Brown, Pincott won a gold medal at the 2011 Canada Winter Games for British Columbia after winning the 2010 provincial high school championships and the 2010 BC Winter games gold medal. They represented the province at the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, which they also won. This qualified the team to represent Canada at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships, where they finished with a 3–6 record. The team lost in the finals of the BC Juniors the following year. Corryn Brown
Corryn Cecile Brown (born July 19, 1995) is a Canadian curler from British Columbia. She currently skips her own team out of Kamloops. Career She was the skip of the winning team at the 2013 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, and represented Canada at the 2013 World Junior Curling Championships, where she placed 9th. Brown also represented Canada at the 2012 Winter Youth Olympics where she won a bronze medal. She also won a gold medal at the 2011 Canada Winter Games. Brown and her team competed once again at the 2015 Canadian Junior Curling Championships in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, where they won the bronze medal after losing to Ontario in the semi-finals 9–4. Yuta Matsumura (curler)
Yuta Matsumura is a Japanese curler from Kitami. He was the skip of the Consadole curling team until 2022 when he joined TM Karuizawa skipped by Yusuke Morozumi. Career Matsumura competed at the 2015 Ford World Men's Curling Championship in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, as alternate for the Japanese team, which placed sixth in the tournament. Matsumura won the 2018 Oakville Fall Classic, his first career World Curling Tour title. A month later he would also win the Driving Force Abbotsford Cashpiel. Matsumura represented Japan in the 2018 Pacific-Asia Curling Championships in South Korea, which his team would end up winning, defeating China's Zou Qiang in the final. Nicholas Meister (born December 25, 1995) is a Canadian curler from Langley, British Columbia. He currently plays lead for the Brent Pierce rink. He is a former Canadian Junior Champion. Career Juniors After skipping his own team in juniors, Meister played lead for the Tyler Tardi junior rink from 2013 to 2017. As a member of the Tardi rink, Meister won the British Columbia men's junior championship in 2016 and 2017. Sean Geall ( ); (born January 29, 1975 in Surrey, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from Tappen, British Columbia. Curling career To date, Geall has two provincial championships to his credit, and thus two Brier appearances. Geall and his Royal City Curling Club rink of Brent Pierce, Kevin Recksiedler and Mark Olson won the 2009 Canadian Direct Insurance BC Men's Provincials by defeating Jay Peachey 8-7 in the final.
