Kelly Thordsen
Kelly Thordsen, born Sherman Jess Thordsen (January 19, 1917 – January 23, 1978) was an American film and television actor. Life and career Thordsen was born in Deadwood, South Dakota. He served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War, and worked as a police officer at the Los Angeles Police Department for twelve years. Thordsen began his screen career in 1956 in the film ''The Desperados Are in Town''. He then played an uncredited role in the 1957 film ''The True Story of Jesse James''. In the same year, Thordsen played the part of Sgt. Bruce in the film ''Invasion of the Saucer Men''. ''Bonanza'' is an American Western television series that ran on NBC from September 13, 1959, to January 16, 1973. Lasting 14 seasons and 432 episodes, ''Bonanza'' is NBC's longest-running western, the second-longest-running western series on U.S. network television (behind CBS's '' Gunsmoke''), and within the top 10 longest-running, live-action American series. ''Cimarron Strip'' is an American Western television series starring Stuart Whitman as Marshal Jim Crown. The series was produced by the creators of ''Gunsmoke'', and aired on CBS from September 1967 to March 1968. Reruns of the original show were aired in the summer of 1971. ''Cimarron Strip'' is one of only three 90-minute weekly Western series that aired during the 1960s (the others are '' The Virginian'', and for one season, ''Wagon Train''), and the only 90-minute series of any kind to be centered primarily around one lead character in almost every episode. The series theme and pilot incidental music were written by Maurice Jarre, who also scored ''Lawrence of Arabia'' and ''Doctor Zhivago''. ''The Rockford Files'' is an American detective drama television series starring James Garner that aired on the NBC network from September 13, 1974 to January 10, 1980, and remains in syndication. Garner portrays Los Angeles private investigator Jim Rockford, with Noah Beery Jr. in the supporting role of his father, Joseph "Rocky" Rockford, a retired truck driver. ''The Fugitive'' is an American crime drama television series created by Roy Huggins and produced by QM Productions and United Artists Television. It aired on ABC from September 1963 to August 1967. David Janssen starred as Dr. Richard Kimble, a physician who is wrongfully convicted of his wife's murder and sentenced to death. En route to death row, Dr. Kimble's train derails over a switch, allowing him to escape and begin a cross-country search for the real killer, a "one-armed man" (played by Bill Raisch). At the same time, Richard Kimble is hounded by the authorities, most notably by Police Lieutenant Philip Gerard (Barry Morse).
