Kelly Malveaux
Kelly Malveaux (born November 5, 1976) is a Canadian Football League halfback who played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Career Malveaux has previously played for several other CFL teams, including the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, Montreal Alouettes, Calgary Stampeders, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders. Malveaux had a productive year for the Blue Bombers in 2008, contributing 63 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack. On May 15, 2009, Malveaux was traded from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to the Edmonton Eskimos for DE Fred Perry. In gridiron football, defensive backs (DBs), also called the secondary, are the players on the defensive side of the ball who play farthest back from the line of scrimmage. They are distinguished from the other two sets of defensive players, the defensive linemen who play directly on the line of scrimmage, and the linebackers, who play in the middle of the defense, between the defensive line and the defensive backs. Among the defensive backs, there are two main types, cornerbacks, which play nearer the line of scrimmage and the sideline, whose main role is to cover the opposing team's wide receivers, and the Safety (gridiron football position), safeties, who play further back near the center of the field, and who act as the last line of defense. 2008 CFL Season
The 2008 CFL season was the 55th season of modern-day Canadian football, the 51st season for the Canadian Football League. It was also the first CFL season in which all of the league's regular season and post-season games, including the Grey Cup game, were aired on TSN. This meant the CFL was no longer aired on broadcast television in Canada. As of 2008, TSN was available in approximately 8.8 million of Canada's 13 million households.
