Keller High School
Keller High School is a public high school located in the city of Keller, Texas and is served by the Keller Independent School District. The school educates students in the majority of the city of Keller, western Southlake, northwestern Colleyville, northern North Richland Hills, and most of Westlake, including the Vaquero development. It has been recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School for the 1999-2000 school year. As of 2011, Keller High School is rated "recognized" by the Texas Education Agency and is part of one of the largest districts in Texas to have an overall recognized rating. Per the 2017 US News Best High Schools System official numbers, 2,645 students attended the school. Keller is a city in Tarrant County, Texas, in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. According to the 2020 United States Census, 2020 census, the city's population is 45,776, making Keller the List of municipalities in Texas, 71st most populated city in Texas. The most recent population estimate, as of July 1, 2021, is 45,397. In the early 1850s, settlers established Keller and the town became a stop on the Texas and Pacific Railway. Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps
The Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (JROTC -- commonly pronounced "JAY-rotsee") is a federal program sponsored by the United States Armed Forces in high schools and also in some middle schools across the United States and at US military bases across the world. The program was originally created as part of the National Defense Act of 1916 and later expanded under the 1964 ROTC Vitalization Act. Bryce Boneau
Bryce Boneau (born 2002) is an American soccer player at the University of Notre Dame. Boneau is the 2021 recipient of the Gatorade Player of the Year for Boys' Soccer, a national recognition for the top boys high school soccer player in the United States. Boneau played high school soccer for Keller High School in Keller, Texas, and youth soccer for Odyssey FC, Solar FC and for FC Dallas. Career Youth and college Boneau played both high school and club soccer during his youth years. As a freshman, Boneau played high school soccer for Keller High School, but suffered a hip fracture in a preseason game, sidelining him for the remainder of the season. During his sophomore year, Boneau played with Solar FC in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy where his team won the U17 DA National Championships. Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade
The Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade is an annual parade in New York City presented by the U.S.-based department store chain Macy's. The Parade first took place in 1924, tying it for the second-oldest Thanksgiving parade in the United States with America's Thanksgiving Parade in Detroit (with both parades being four years younger than Philadelphia's Thanksgiving Day Parade). Alamodome
The Alamodome is a 64,000-seat domed indoor multi-purpose stadium in San Antonio, Texas. It is located on the southeastern fringe of downtown San Antonio. The facility opened on May 15, 1993, having been constructed at a cost of $186 million. The multi-purpose facility was intended to increase the city's convention traffic and attract a professional football franchise. It also placated the San Antonio Spurs' demands for a larger arena. The Spurs played in the Alamodome for a decade, then became disenchanted with the facility and convinced Bexar County to construct a new arena for them, now called the AT&T Center. Karen J. Wagner High School is a high school in unincorporated Bexar County, Texas, United States. It is operated by the Judson Independent School District. The school has a San Antonio address but is not within the San Antonio city limits. The school was named after Lieutenant Colonel Karen J.
