Keith Savage
Keith Savage (born August 9, 1985 in Gulf Breeze, Florida) is a former American soccer player who is currently the head coach of the Tampa Bay Rowdies USL Academy team. Career College and Amateur Savage attended Gulf Breeze High School in Gulf Breeze, Florida, played club soccer for Pensacola Revolution, and played college soccer at the University of West Florida, where he was GSC Freshman of the Year in 2003. He was named to the Division II All-South Region Team and the All-GSC First Team in 2005, earned NSCAA/adidas All-America honors in 2006, and scored 33 career goals for the Argonauts between 2003 and 2007, the fourth-highest total in school's history. During his college years he also played with Central Florida Kraze in the USL Premier Development League. Professional Savage was drafted 43rd overall of the 2008 MLS SuperDraft by Chivas USA, and made his MLS debut for Chivas against Columbus Crew on 12 April 2008. Gulf Breeze is a city in Santa Rosa County, Florida. It is a suburb of Pensacola, and is in the Pensacola Metropolitan Area. The population estimate was 6,900 in 2020. Gulf Breeze is located just north of Pensacola Beach, and south of Pensacola. Gulf Breeze is on the Fairpoint Peninsula, and is bordered by Navarre to the east. Gulf Breeze provides utility services to South Santa Rosa County and Pensacola Beach over 33 square miles. The surrounding unincorporated area is known as Greater Gulf Breeze. USL First Division
The USL First Division (usually referred to as USL-1) was a professional men's soccer league in the United States and Canada from 2005 to 2010. During its existence, it formed the second tier of soccer in the United States soccer league system behind Major League Soccer. It was operated by United Soccer Leagues (USL) and was known as the A-League, from 1997 until 2004. The 2009 season is the 23rd season played by the United Soccer Leagues. Season titles will be contested by 20 professional men's clubs in the USL First Division and USL Second Division, as well as 37 professional and amateur women's clubs in the W-League and 68 professional and amateur men's teams in the USL Premier Development League. The First Division season kicked off on April 11 with the US Open Cup finalist Charleston Battery and host defending champions Vancouver Whitecaps FC playing to a scoreless tie, while the Carolina RailHawks defeated the visiting Minnesota Thunder 2–1. North American Soccer League (2011–2017)
The North American Soccer League (NASL) was a professional men's soccer league based in the United States. The league was named for, but had no connection to, the original North American Soccer League. The later NASL was founded in 2009, and began play in 2011 with eight teams. From 2013 through 2017, the NASL used a split-season schedule running from April to early November, with a four-week break in July. The spring and fall champions, along with the two teams with best combined spring/fall records met in a four-team single-elimination tournament known as ''The Championship''. Bruce Savage
William Bruce Savage is an American retired soccer defender. He played four seasons in the North American Soccer League, nine in Major Indoor Soccer League and earned sixteen caps with the U.S. national team between 1983 and 1992. On March 12, 2014, it was announced that he would be a 2014 inductee into the Indoor Soccer Hall of Fame. He currently coaches youth soccer in Florida.
