Keith Baldwin
Keith Manning Baldwin (born October 13, 1960) is a former American football defensive end who played seven seasons in the National Football League (NFL) with the Cleveland Browns, San Diego Chargers and Los Angeles Raiders. He was drafted by the Browns in the second round of the 1982 NFL Draft. After five seasons with the Browns, Baldwin signed with the Chargers where he played for a season and a half and ended his career with the Los Angeles Raiders from November 11, 1988. He was released by the Raiders and retired from the league in September of 1989. He played college football at Texas A&M University and attended M. B. Defensive End
Defensive end (DE) is a defensive position in the sport of gridiron football. This position has designated the players at each end of the defensive line, but changes in formation (American football), formations over the years have substantially changed how the position is played. History Early formations, with six- and seven-man line defense, seven-man lines, used the end as a containment player, whose job was first to prevent an "end run" around his position, then secondarily to force plays inside. When most teams adopted a five-man line, two different styles of end play developed: "crashing" ends, who rushed into the backfield to disrupt plays, and "stand-up" or "waiting" ends, who played the more traditional containment style.
