Keira D'Amato
Keira D'Amato (born Keira Carlstrom on October 21, 1984) is an American distance runner. She held the American women's record in the marathon with her time of 2:19:12 at the 2022 Houston Marathon, until Emily Sisson set a new record time on October 9, 2022. She is the world best holder for the women's-only 10 mile distance and a three-time USA Track & Field national champion. Biography D'Amato ran for American University from 2002 to 2006, where she was a four-time All-American and 11-time Patriot League champion, competing in cross-country, indoor track, and outdoor track. She was also named an Academic All-American in 2006. After a series of injuries in her post-collegiate career, D'Amato took a hiatus from the sport in 2009. She became involved in cycling and adult soccer, and worked as marketing director for a local Virginia running store chain. The Houston Marathon is an annual marathon usually held every January in Houston, Texas, United States, since 1972. With thousands of runners and spectators, it is the largest single day sporting event in the city. It is run concurrently with a half marathon and a 5 km race. Deena Michelle Kastor (née Drossin; born February 14, 1973) is an American long-distance runner. She was a holder of American records in the marathon (2006-2022) and numerous road distances. She won the bronze medal in the women's marathon at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, Greece. She is also an eight-time national champion in cross country. Janet Cherobon-Bawcom
Janet Cherobon-Bawcom (born August 22, 1978) is an American distance runner. She grew up in Kenya, before attending college in the United States. In college, she won three Division II national championships and was named an All-American eight times. She became eligible to compete for the United States in 2011. In 2012, she made the U.S. Olympic team in the 10,000 meters and placed 12th.
