Duane Kees
Duane Adkins Kees (born 1975) is an American attorney and former United States Attorney for the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas. He previously served as director of global ethics and compliance at Walmart. Early life and education He received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas and his Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas School of Law. Military service Kees attended The JAG School at the University of Virginia and entered the U.S. Army JAG Corps. he served in the JAG Corps for eight years. During his time on active duty, he prosecuted and defended a variety of complex cases and earned two Bronze Stars and a Meritorious Service Medal. He is currently a major in the Arkansas National Guard. Kees was previously a partner at the Asa Hutchinson Law Group. Frederick Kees
Frederick G. Kees (April 9, 1852 – March 16, 1927) was an American architect notable for his work in Minnesota and partnerships with Franklin B. Long and Serenus Colburn. Life and career Kees was born in Baltimore, Maryland on April 9, 1852. He joined the firm of E. G. Lind as an apprentice in 1865 and worked at the firm until 1878. He moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota in 1878 and briefly worked with Leroy Buffington. He also partnered with Burnham W. Fisk for a few years under the name "Kees and Fisk". In 1885, Kees partnered with Franklin B. Long to form the architectural firm Long and Kees. After designing more than 13 buildings (including the Minneapolis City Hall), Kees ended the partnership. He then went on to partner with Serenus Colburn to create the firm Kees and Colburn which survived until 1925, the year of Colburn's death. Kees died two years later, on March 16, 1927. Weldon Kees
Harry Weldon Kees (February 24, 1914 – disappeared July 18, 1955) was an American poet, painter, literary critic, novelist, playwright, jazz pianist, short story writer, and filmmaker. Despite his brief career, Kees is considered an important mid-twentieth-century poet of the same generation as John Berryman, Elizabeth Bishop, and Robert Lowell. His work has been immensely influential on subsequent generations of poets writing in English and other languages and his collected poems have been included in many anthologies. Harold Bloom lists the publication of Kees's first book ''The Last Man'' (1943) as an important event in the chronology of his textbook ''Modern American Poetry'' as well as a book worthy of his Western Canon.
